The book "Anecdotes about Mullah Nasreddin" - a collection of folklore and author's works of personal countries, translated and edited by orientalist Roman Hamada, won the first prize of the Volyanyk-Schwabinski Foundation's Ukrainian Studies Competition held by the New York University Foundation. EFFECTIVE The mullah's wife was just hoping, but when the time came for evil, she could not be born. The family was worried, they came to the mullah - what to do. Mullah thought about it, and then he said: - Wait a minute, I know the way. He left the house and went to the bazaar, bought some nuts, then returned home and, giving them to the women, said: - Put these nuts under the maternity ward. When the baby sees them, he wants to play and jumps out of the mother. STRONG PROOF Mullah put two baskets of grapes on his donkey and went to the city to sell. Some children looked at him, surrounded him and began to ask: - Will you, mullah, not let us taste the grapes? Looking around, the mullah sees that if everyone is given a branch, there will be nothing left. Then, taking out one branch, he gave each of them two berries. "When you ask for a taste," he said, "try these berries, and it doesn't matter if you taste a big branch or a small grape."
