Maria Galina is a well-known Russian poet and writer of Ukrainian origin, a biologist by education, winner of numerous literary awards in poetry, prose and fiction (including twice - the personal award of Boris Strugatsky). Maria Galina's bizarre prose gained critical acclaim and won the love of readers. The novel "Autochthons" was published in Russian in 2015 and was critically acclaimed as one of the brightest literary events of the year. To the nameless mythical city, which to many, however, will seem familiar, comes the same nameless hero - a man without a name and without a personal history. In general, he seems to be an art critic who came to write an article about the staging of the centuries-old opera The Death of Petronius. Shadows come to life, the city is filled with people from the past, which seems to have ended a long time ago, but at the same time continues.
