"Learn to Speak" encourages the child to play sound imitation. The book is relevant from 10 months to the age when the child begins to say the first words. This is the first book in a series about the adventures of Bodya and his family. Each book in the series is a vimelbukh with speech therapy tasks for children, which depicts 17 familiar to children and related life situations. Each story describes the main skills that a child of this age is trying to master. Stories are built in a special way to use the vocabulary that promotes the development of speech according to age and the construction of dynamic stereotypes, because it is at an early age that words and sounds are associated with direct actions. The book contains texts-hints to cartoon stories, so an adult may not invent anything, as in the traditional vimelbukh. In the first book, Bodjo draws with his mother, tries to help her in the kitchen, has dinner, cooks a cat for a broken flowerpot, helps lull his younger brother, talks on the phone with his grandmother, goes for a walk in the city and park, plays with musical instruments, goes to village to grandparents, bathes in the pond, collects strawberries in the woods, gets acquainted with animals and birds, takes photos, sings by the fire, goes home by train. The structure of the book contains instructions for parents, acquaintance with the characters, vimelbuh-stories, drawing tasks and at the end of the book - generalizing tasks for children. One book - four things: vimelbuh-history, task-game, speech development and consolidation of necessary life skills. But when you work with the child all the material, do not rush to give books about Bodya to friends: soon the whole series may be your best helper in teaching your child to read on their own.
