Roman Ivanychuk (1929-2016) - a famous Ukrainian writer, winner of many literary prizes, including the National Prize of Ukraine. T. Shevchenko. His work includes about twenty historical novels, which the writer filled in the white spots in our history.

The author skillfully depicts the most diverse parts of the world, where he had to visit: from exotic Havana, polyphonic Istanbul, motley Africa with the scorching Sahara and to the other side of the earth - the harsh Arctic. Many pages of his works were dedicated to R. Ivanychuk and his native Prykarpattia.
