Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra (1547-1616) lived a life full of adventure and dramatic events. He fought, was wounded, spent 5 years in captivity, was in prison, was unjustly convicted. He wrote plays, short stories and novels, and gained fame with the novel "The Wise Hidalgo Don Quixote of the English Channel", which in 2002 was recognized by the Nobel Institute as the best literary work in human history. All attempts to bring Don Quixote to his senses and force him to abandon his knightly exploits were unsuccessful. He goes on a journey again and on the way he meets a duke and a duchess who have already heard about the Knight of the Sad Image and his weapon bearer. The Duke invites Don Quixote and Sancho to his castle, where many adventures happen to the heroes: Don Quixote "frees from the spell" a bearded dune, and Sancho Panza is appointed governor of the island.
