The manual discusses the basic properties of solid, liquid and gaseous fuels. The generalized heat engineering characteristics allowing to estimate efficiency of use of fuel, without definition of its structure and heat of combustion are resulted. A simple method for determining heat loss, efficiency of heating systems, fuel economy, which has been used in industry. Ways to increase fuel efficiency with minimal capital investment through integrated step-by-step use of heat from combustion products and environmental protection are considered.
The traditional methods of comparative and general economic evaluation of investment efficiency and the modern approach to the evaluation of the effectiveness of technical solutions related to the restructuring of fuel and energy complexes are considered. The principles of construction and design of interactive human-machine control systems of power systems based on the means of automation of search and decision-making processes are considered.
The textbook is designed for students, masters and graduate students of higher technical educational institutions of the 4th level accreditation, as well as specialists in the field.
