This set teaches the basics of hydraulics. The fischertechnik hydraulic system works with water, demonstrating how power can be transmitted through liquid media. Here's how the system works: A manually operated control cylinder supplies water to the working cylinder through hoses. The working cylinder expands by moving a bucket or shovel on a powerful crawler excavator. This allows builders to control three different excavator movements hydraulically. Five different models can be built with this set. Combined with additional teaching materials, this constructor truly gives students the opportunity to learn about technology and learn the principles of the laws of physics.
