There are three different versions of Fischertechnik Training Factory Industry 4.0 24V, which differ in the type of controller connection. This option is already connected directly to the mains and is ready to be connected to a PLC.
The Training Factory Industry 4.0 24V model with a connection board is controlled by any PLC, regardless of brand. All inputs and outputs of individual adapter boards are combined on the central main board. The finished sample program (in the form of structured text, ST) is included in the delivery set. The program is based on the Siemens S7-1500 controller and is written on the Siemens TIA V.16 portal. The PLC is not included. The TXT controller from Fischertechnik is also installed in the model. It is powered via an adapter board and provides a connection to the fischertechnik cloud. The TXT controller also communicates via the MQTT with the IOT gateway (Raspberry Pi), which in turn is converted from OPC-UA to PLC controller. Thus, 9B-based components such as the environmental sensor, USB camera, brightness sensor and NFC reader can be addressed via the MQTT interface and read by the PLC. However, even more interesting is another feature of the IOT gateway, namely the ability to connect to a separate cloud. Thus, Training Factory Industry 4.0 offers maximum flexibility for the relevant user.
