This is the story of a kind of second Noah's Ark - a Pacific cruise, which due to world catastrophe - famine, financial crisis, World War III and the virus that destroys eggs - is doomed to become the cradle of a new civilization. The novel combines three timelines, describing the causes of these events, their development and consequences. Humorous, Vonnegut creates a desperate genealogical adventure - a mixture of the Old Testament, a Latin American novel and a collage comic in which he fantasizes about what humanity will become in a million years.
