"Shadow of Independence" - the second book of the "Galician Saga". It covers the events of 1918-1922, at a time that Winston Churchill would later say: "The war of the giants is over, the war of the pygmies has begun." When on the morning of November 1, 1918, the people of Lviv saw the blue and yellow flag at the city hall, they did not yet know that this was only the beginning of a long armed struggle for who should own Galicia. When bloody battles were fought on its territory, in distant Paris, the victors of the "war of giants" decided its fate, as well as the fate of all of Europe.
