History of the Ukrainian bookplate. The generously illustrated edition for the first time at the level of a monographic study covers the history of the origin and development of the art of ex libris from the XVI century. to our time, its varieties are considered, the content is explained. The variety of bookplates appears in the historical and artistic context as an original and still little studied layer of Ukrainian history and culture. A significant place is given to the issues of classification, artistic and stylistic features, substantiation of the belonging of bookplates to the Ukrainian heritage. The monograph has no analogues in the number of bookplates presented in the publication, coverage of the work of many generations of artists, thoroughness of the material.
