The proposed edition contains two prose works by the poet Avrom Sutzkever (1913–2010) - a book of essays "From the Vilnius Ghetto" and a collection of poems in prose "Green Aquarium". Story". Sutzkever wrote his first work as a witness to the events of World War II and the Holocaust - together with the Jews of the Lithuanian capital, the poet was imprisoned in the Vilnius ghetto. Under these conditions, Sutzkever and other artists and writers for several years in a row saved the cultural heritage of Lithuanian Jewry from complete destruction, and later fought for life and freedom as part of a guerrilla group. The second work contains texts from different years, in which the parable form reinterprets childhood, adulthood and survival in the Catastrophe, as well as the poet's future, his life in the newly formed State of Israel and unexpected encounters while traveling the world. Both works by Avrom Sutzkever are published for the first time in Ukrainian translation from Yiddish.
