Hatice Turhan faced many trials and difficulties. But as the wife of the ruler, and later the regent of the young Sultan Mehmed IV, she steadfastly overcame them. together with the janissaries and the Crimean Tatar army against the Polish and Moscow oppression. Unfortunately, the figure of this Ukrainian sultan, unlike Roxolana, is little known in Ukraine. Candidate of Art History, journalist, author of scientific of the popular book "Roxolana: Myths and Realities" (2015, 2nd edition 2016) Alexander Shutko based on historical facts, archival materials and research of Turkish, American and Western European scholars wrote a novel about Hatice Turhan, in which not only real events are real and heroes, but also their dialogues, which have survived thanks to Ottoman chroniclers.
