The novel "Do the oxen roar when the manger is full?" belongs to the pen of two authors - Panas Mirnyi (original idea, ideological and thematic concept) and his brother Ivan Bilyk (deepening the problems of the work, improving the composition and style). The work became the first monumental peasant epic in Ukrainian literature, a comprehensive depiction of the life of the Ukrainian countryside. The authors boldly assert the important idea of all ages - the people would live in peace, if not for unbearable oppression, and only through violence can change the world.
