The book includes essays written in different years. Their subject matter, at first glance, is diverse, that is, the book in a sense is a "patchwork quilt." In the author's opinion, the patchwork quilt is the identity of modern man, who seeks himself among the fragments of philosophy, art history, psychology, left over from the destruction of the traditional worldview. Different forces pull her in different directions, she often cannot see the meaning in current events and looks to the distant past so as not to see the present. The author considers these problems from the standpoint of a psychologist and poet. The book is written in Ukrainian and Russian. This bilingualism determines the author's personal position on the language problem in Ukraine.
