Popular science publication, the third volume of the series "Elite", tells the story of the family of princes Vyshnevetsky - one of the most powerful and richest families of the Ukrainian magnates. Among the members of the family are Dmytro (Baida) Vyshnevetsky, who is considered the founder of the Zaporizhzhya Sich, and Yarema Vyshnevetsky, a fierce enemy of the Cossack movement led by Bohdan Khmelnytsky; Raina Vyshnevetska (Mohylyanka) is a philanthropist, patron of Orthodox monasteries and King of the Commonwealth Mykhailo Korybut Vyshnevetsky. The biographies of these personalities and their traces in the history of Ukraine are the subject of research by Ukrainian, Polish, Lithuanian and Belarusian scholars.
