This book is a bilingual edition of selected works from Taras Shevchenko's Kobzar. All Yiddish translations included here were made during the 1920s and 1930s by the famous Jewish poet David Hofstein (1889–1952). The book is illustrated with drawings by the "Boychukist" Vasyl Sedlyar (1899-1937), which designed a unique edition of "Kobzar" in 1931.
