Shakespeare's words "The whole world is a theater, and we are actors in it" were the motto of the life of Les Kurbas, whose name is shrouded in continuous legends and fictions. Even during his life he was considered a titan, creator, prophet-intuition. The author of this publication, director, theater historian and critic, pedagogue, translator RG Kolomiets, Doctor of Philosophy, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, Professor, considers Lesya Kurbas to be a "hostage of eternity in the captivity of time." This book is the last work of the author in the series of publications "Selected pages of modern theater", dedicated to the work of leading theaters, prominent actors and directors.
