The heroine of the book, a little girl Linnaeus, together with her friend the gardener Blumquist embarks on an amazing journey - the birthplace of the famous Claude Monet. They will visit the artist's museum, stand on a Japanese town and see with their own eyes the lilies that he loved to paint, his estate, garden, house. They will even get to know his great-grandson! This book has been translated into almost thirty languages. He was awarded the European Prize for Literature for Children and Youth (1985), the German Prize for Children and Youth Literature (1988) and the Flag and Pennant Prize (Netherlands, 1988). In 1992, a cartoon of the same name was released in Sweden, which was a great success.
