The publication on the basis of archival materials for the first time published mutual correspondence of famous devotees of the Ukrainian cause of the early twentieth century. Yevhen Chykalenko (1861–1929) and Petro Stebnytsky (1862–1923) during 1901–1922. Various themes and plots were intertwined in the presented body of documents: from socio-political, cultural, publishing to personal. The letters reveal not only the content and character of the Ukrainian movement, but also the active participation of both authors, who, while in St. Petersburg (P. Stebnytsky) and in Ukraine (E. Chikalenko), worked persistently and purposefully to revive the Ukrainian press and publishing. The book will be of interest to scientists, teachers, students and anyone interested in the history of Ukraine in the early twentieth century.
