Mykola Khvylovy (real name - Fitilov, 1893–1933) - poet, writer, publicist, public figure, who became one of the most iconic figures of the Shooting Renaissance. The slogan "Away from Moscow!", Thrown by the writer during the literary discussion he initiated, united artists in the struggle for independence of the development of Ukrainian art culture. Above all, appreciating creative freedom, in anticipation of severe restrictions and repression by the Soviet government, the writer committed suicide by rebelling against the totalitarian system. Mykola Khvylovy was perceived differently at different times, but today his name represents the highest rise of Ukrainian literature of the 1920s.
