The Levenhuk 500B is a laboratory microscope with a binocular tip and achromatic optics. It uses halogen lighting, which is well suited for the study of colored samples. The capabilities of the microscope will be of interest to microbiologists, physicians, ornithologists, veterinarians, biochemists and other professionals. The microscope can be used for educational purposes in higher education institutions. Observations are made in a bright field.
The binocular nozzle has a small inclination, which makes long-term work with a microscope more convenient. If necessary, the nozzle can be rotated in any direction - all 360 ° are available. Wide-field glasses give a good view and provide a 10-fold zoom. Four achromatic lenses transmit contrasting and "living" images, allowing you to view small structures. The total magnification of the microscope is in the range of 40 to 1000 times. Lenses of the 40's and 100's are equipped with spring frames of the front lens, 100-fold lens can be used for immersion observations. The sharpness of the optics is adjusted with two focusing knobs - coarse and precise. The Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm allows you to fine-tune the lighting. The light source is a halogen bulb with a collector, the brightness of which can be adjusted. The backlight unit is located at the bottom, the AC mains is used for power.
The microscope has a strong and reliable design, the body is made of metal.
