Luis Buñuel (1900-1983) was an outstanding artist of the twentieth century, who aimed to show the true nature of man, distorted, as he believed, by culture and etiquette. The director did not live in Spain and made most of his films abroad, but his source of inspiration was the traditions of Spanish culture, and his films "Nazarin" and "Tristan" he made based on the works of the classic of Spanish literature Perez Galdos. "My Last Breath" is an autobiographical final book by Bunuel, in which he tells with impressive frankness about his life, family, the Spanish Civil War, a direct participant and witness of which he was, reflects on philosophical themes - what is death, faith, God, describes how he became a director, recalls his meetings with famous people - Salvador Dali, Louis Aragon, Sergei Eisenstein and many others.
