Each of the playing fields has its own fleet of ships and a predictable opponent's map for marks. Horizontals are usually numbered from top to bottom, and verticals are denoted by letters from left to right. Players take turns naming coordinates on an opponent's map unknown to them. If there is a single-deck ship in that place, it is considered sunk, if multi-deck, then lined up. If the player makes the right hit, the next move follows. The aim of the game: to be the first to sink all enemy ships.
The board game was first released in 1931, and today it is considered a classic. Suitable for leisure with family and friends.
