Notes on our boy

Escape as a goal, irresponsibility as a principle, uncombed hair as a sensor of "one's own" - such were our hippies. Apart from dissidents, they were the first free people in that unfree country five minutes before it died. They could hardly go to work, have a family, live in a standard apartment, but still be ideological "people": they valued freedom, professed pofigism and were ready at any moment to embark on adventures without a penny in their pocket.
