The proposed book is the most complete collection of translations into Ukrainian of the poetic heritage of the great Jewish poet David Hofstein. The book is based on a two-volume selection of selected works by D. Hofstein, published in the original language in 1977 in Tel Aviv (Israel) by the publishing house "Israel Buh", and "Favorites" by D. Hofstein, published in Ukrainian in 1968 in Kiev by the publishing house " Soviet writer ". The compiler of both publications was the poet's widow, Feiga Hofstein. The proposed book restores all the dedications and epigraphs, which for obvious reasons could not be published in the Ukrainian edition in Soviet times.
