This book includes only some examples of the creative heritage of the "king" of Ukrainian humor of the twentieth century. Ostapa Vyshny (camp diary from Ukhtpechlag, letters from exile). The archival-investigative case (published for the first time) reflects the typical process of creating myths about the existence of enemies of the people in the society of that time and attributing to them an attempt to destroy the leaders of the Communist Party and the state. The complex of archival materials from the two-volume case-form of Ostap Vyshnya is an accumulation of reports of secret agents of special bodies, which testifies to the system's struggle against artists, the most talented of whom were repressed and destroyed.
