The book "On the Other Side of Secularization" contains selected texts by a well-known American scholar, a leading sociologist of religion in the modern world, Jose Casanova. The author defends his own view on the secularization and privatization of religion in the context of globalization; explains the fundamental differences between secularization in Western Europe and the United States; explores the modern phenomenon of the growth of religious pluralism and religious revival in various non-Western societies. Of particular interest to the Ukrainian reader are Jose Casanova's comments on religious processes in modern Ukraine, which he considers in a broader global context.
