The textbook "Political Science" is part of the project of the publishing house "Folio" and the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine to publish basic textbooks in more than 20 disciplines. Scientific teams of the best educational institutions of Ukraine take part in the project implementation, and each textbook is the result of joint work of representatives of different universities of our country. This textbook is based on many years of experience in teaching political science at university. It identifies the problematic field of political science, highlights the main stages of its formation, reveals the essence of both "traditional" topics for social sciences, and the basic postulates of conflict and the theory of international relations. The main tasks of the author's team were to systematize and explain the concepts and problems of political science, necessary to understand the basics of analysis of modern politics. Much attention in the textbook is paid to the independent work of students. For this purpose, self-examination questions were developed, lists of basic and additional recommended literature for each of the sections were provided, a dictionary of scientific concepts was compiled, brief biographical data of prominent representatives of political science were given, etc. For students, graduate students, teachers of higher education, all who are interested in the problems of political science.
