new book by Doctor of Historical Sciences, journalist Daniil Yanevsky tells about what happened in the lands that are now called Ukraine, starting from the middle of the tenth century. until the unification in 1386 of the Kingdom of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania (which included modern Right Bank Ukraine), and then - until the liquidation of the regimental system of the Hetmanate and the formation in 1781 of the Kiev Governorate, which covered the entire territory of modern Ukraine from Dnieper to Zbruch. In the book, the author expresses his own view on the history of Ukraine and emphasizes that the history of Russia / Ukraine is a component of the history of Central and Eastern Europe.
