Johann Norberg, a well-known Swedish political scientist and economist and researcher at the Cato Institute, was born in Stockholm in 1973. He characterizes himself as a liberal within the classical European tradition (Locke, Smith, etc.). His book "In Defense of Global Capitalism" (2001) has been translated into many languages and is now very popular around the world. According to the influential British magazine The Economist, published since 1843, Norberg's book "Progress. Ten Reasons to Look forward to the Future has been named one of 2016's best books on economics.
