The 4M Dinosaur scientific set of boxes allows you to turn empty boxes into a moving structure. The box dinosaur robot can ride, move its jaw and paws! The set is designed for children from 5 years of preschool age.
Assemble the work according to the instructions with pictures. It also has an explanation of the principle of operation, interesting facts. Turn on the miracle device and watch the creation of your hands "come to life"!
Green Science series kits involve children in scientific research, teach to assemble devices according to instructions. In the process of compilation develop curiosity, thinking, attentiveness, imagination, design skills, ingenuity. Such classes form a focus on results, introduce physics, mechanics, robotics in a game format. Creating a dinosaur robot distracts from the Internet and motivates to be interested in science. The set is suitable for classes at home, on development courses according to the STEAM educational method.
Why does the robot move? When you turn it on, you close the circuit that connects the battery to the motor inside the gearbox housing. Electric energy flows from the battery to the engine, which converts this energy into mechanical rotation. The axis of the engine rotates at high speed, but low power, and by itself will not be able to move the dino robot. The engine rotates several gears inside the gearbox housing, which reduce speed and increase the mechanical power of the engine, making it more efficient. Most conventional machines use the gearbox to change power and speed in a similar way.
The main axis of the dino-robot rotates. Two large wheels and dino-robot legs are connected to the wheels by two pins. The pins are attached to the outer edge of the wheels, and as they rotate, they rise and fall, moving the legs. The pins allow the wheels to act like cams, as the rotation is converted into up and down movements.
The movable legs are connected to the dino-robot jaw by a pin, so that the movements of the legs are transmitted to the jaw. This is called a lever mechanism. The jaw is attached to the body by a pin that acts as a hinge and allows the jaw to move in a certain way. Cams, levers and hinges are used in many machines.
The kit has all the necessary parts for assembling a robot. The case consists of the back of the package. Additionally required: 1 AAA battery and Phillips screwdriver.
