The book is the first Ukrainian study dedicated to the national hero of Japan - Odi Nobunazi (1534-1582). Based on a wide range of Japanese sources and literature, the author considers the life of this commander and the process of unification of his fragmented Japanese state.
In the center of the book is an annotated translation of "Records of Prince Nobunaga" (Shinchi-kiki), a fundamental source on the history and culture of Japan in the XVI century. This is the first translation of the work made in the Slavic language. The work also contains original Ukrainian translations of Japanese historical chronicles of the XVI-XVIII centuries. The book is intended for historians and Japanese scholars, teachers, students, and anyone interested in Japan.
