Serbian folk poetry, like Ukrainian, is part of the golden fund of world culture. Readers are offered a monographic study, which covers more than a century of history of translations of Serbian folk songs by Ukrainian writers: from figures of the "Russian Trinity" to translations of the second half of the twentieth century. The author of the research also analyzes the original works of prominent artists - T. Shevchenko, Y. Fedkovych, S. Vorobkevych, I. Franko, Olena Pchilka, Lesia Ukrainka, M. Rylsky, in whose work there are vivid parallels with the folk songs of Serbs. The publication is intended for humanities teachers and university students, teachers, folklore researchers, literary critics and anyone interested in Serbian culture and inter-Slavic cultural relations.
