Serbian folk poetry, like Ukrainian, is part of the golden fund of world culture. Readers are offered a monographic study, which covers more than a century of history of translations of Serbian folk songs by Ukrainian writers: from figures of the "Russian Trinity" to translations of the second half of the twentieth century. The author of the research also analyzes the original works of prominent artists - T. Shevchenko, Y. Fedkovych, S. Vorobkevych, I. Franko, Olena Pchilka, Lesia Ukrainka, M. Rylsky, in whose work there are vivid parallels with the folk songs of Serbs.
