Abulkasim Firdousi's poem "Shah-name" - one of the top phenomena of world literature, the epic of the Iranian people. It covers the reign of fifty legendary Shahs of Iran and is divided into mythological, heroic and historical parts. The poet skillfully combined folk tales and historical evidence from many sources. In addition to interesting plots, the poem acquaints the modern reader with the basics of the Zoroastrian religious worldview, which is characterized by the struggle of light and dark forces, good and evil, the ideals of high morals and justice. "Shah-name" has been translated into many languages of the world, Ukrainians were presented with separate chapters by Agatangel Krymsky and Vasyl Mysyk.
