SIGETA MS-249 LED 20x Bino Stereo is a simple but functional 20-fold stereomicroscope with high-quality glass optics. Generates a contrasting color image with sufficient depth of field, has almost 8 mm field of view on the subject. The stereo effect is due to the stereo lens - more precisely, two lenses at an angle of about 15 ° to each other. The glasses magnify the image twice more with the lenses 10 times more: as a result we have a 20-fold magnification. The loss of light when passing through the optical channels of the microscope is minimized by applying enlightenment to the lens.
Initially, the model was not positioned as an instrumental microscope: MS-249 was to perform only educational and entertaining functions. But thanks to the increased working distance (70 mm) and the reliable focusing mechanism the device occupied a niche of the budgetary repair microscope. The SIGETA MS-249 stereomicroscope also helps with painstaking handicrafts - mosaics, wire weaving and more. Even restoration work under a microscope is much more convenient than with a magnifying glass: binocular vision and both hands will be involved.
The eyepiece tubes of the microscope are installed in the nozzle not vertically, but at an angle of 45 °: this arrangement is convenient for work both sitting and standing (the main thing - to fix the device at the right height). The focusing mechanism is shifted up / down by rotating any of the two symmetrical handles: the optical unit from this begins a smooth movement relative to the stage. Illumination of samples is realized by means of an LED lamp on 1 W: it provides uniform illumination of a cold spectrum which does not distort colors. The appliance does not require special care or maintenance. LED lamps do not burn out, and to replace the backlight batteries is a matter of one minute: the battery compartment opens from a light push on the cover. Adjusting the interpupillary distance and sharpening is easy: even children of primary school age will quickly learn the techniques of working with a microscope.
