The Ukrainian translation of the memoirs of the Hetman of Ukraine Pavlo Skoropadsky, which cover the events of the period 1917–1918, was made within the framework of the publishing project of the Eastern European Research Institute named after VK Lipinsky (Philadelphia, USA). For the first time, the translation of P. Skoropadsky's memoirs was made from the original author's text and without editorial corrections made in previous editions. Many of the texts have been translated by well-known Ukrainian public figure Nadiya Svitlychna, the rest by Tetyana Ostashko and Yuriy Tereshchenko, who are the compilers of this publication, the authors of introductory articles and commentaries. The reader also has the opportunity to get acquainted with hitherto unknown author's supplements to memoirs and previously unpublished parts of Hetman's memoirs "My Childhood in Ukraine" translated by the compilers. The photo appendix for the first time publishes materials and photographs from the Archives of the Eastern European Research Institute. VK Lypynsky in Philadelphia (USA), the collections of the Ukrainian Museum and Library in Stamford (Connecticut, USA), the Central State Archive of Higher Authorities and Government of Ukraine, Chernihiv Historical Museum. VV Tarnovsky and the National Reserve "Deaf". The publication contains colored photographs-reconstructions of the Hetman of Ukraine Pavlo Skoropadsky. The book is intended for historians and political scientists, all who are interested in the history of Ukraine.
