The Levenhuk SkyMatic 127 GT MAK is a mirror-lens telescope mounted for mounting with the auto-guidance system, also sometimes called GoTo. It can find the stars itself - the mount is controlled by a microprocessor that commands the electric drives and allows the lens to rotate in the right direction. This telescope is suitable for observations of the Moon and planets of the solar system, as well as for introductory observations of distant space objects. Mounting with electric drives will allow you to try your hand at astrophotography. The lens of the telescope is mirror-lens, it is built on the optical circuit of Maksutov-Cassegren. This optical circuit allows to significantly reduce the overall dimensions of the tube, which facilitates the transportation of the telescope and allows to use it in a limited space - for example, during observations from the balcony. The lens elements of the telescopes have multi-layer illumination, and the mirrors have a special protective coating that prevents them from becoming cloudy over time. This helps to reduce the level of light loss inside the telescope and provides a bright and contrasting image. Any telescope and other 1.25 ”glasses can be used with the telescope, it is also possible to connect a SLR camera and use the telescope for astrophotography. The telescope comes with an azimuth single-pin fork mount AZ 114 GT, which is equipped with the SynScan AZ auto-guidance system. Not only does it find luminaries in the night sky, but it also monitors their movement, compensating for the Earth's diurnal rotation. The remote has buttons for entering
commands and a backlit display that displays
Basic Information. The telescope connects to the computer with a cable and receives commands from a special planetarium program. Azimuth mounting will require mounting on an equatorial wedge.
