The project used about 340 archival documents, took more than 4,000 photographs, the best of which appeared on the pages of the book, created axonometric images of interesting fortifications 14-15 centuries. The funds of museums and libraries of about 45 Ukrainian and Lithuanian cities and towns have been studied, many finds (documents, exhibits, portraits, etc.) are published for the first time. The method of synthesis used by modern science allows us to more fully outline the common cultural heritage of the two countries - Ukraine and Lithuania_x005F_x000D_
