The new popular science publication, created jointly with the National Museum of History of Ukraine, represents our country as part of the European space. Based on unique museum collections and archival documents, the authors - researchers of the Museum - identify the historical roots of the Ukrainian state, dating back centuries, and consider the past of Ukraine, as well as today, in the European context. With the proclamation of Ukraine as a sovereign democracy and in view of recent events, the consciousness of Ukrainian citizens requires a truthful, scientifically sound and ideologically unbiased reflection of historical events and determining the place of the Ukrainian people in world, in particular, European civilization.
