The difficult period of the life of the Zaporozhian lower Cossacks, which covers the years 1734-1794, is filled with a number of dramatic events. The founding of the New Sich, the opposition to the territorial expansion of the Russian Empire, the Haydamat movement, the liquidation of Zaporizhia and its transformation into Novorossia, the formation of the Black Sea Cossack army from Sich and its relocation to the Kuban form the chronological framework of Choria Patalakh's new book The main attention is paid to the participation of the Cossacks, and later the Black Sea people, in the Russo-Turkish wars of the second half of the XVIII century and their role in the liberation of the northern Black Sea lands from Ottoman rule. The book contains a large appendix, which consists of documents stored in the State Archives of Kherson region. Most of them have not been published yet. The publication is intended for everyone who is interested in the history of our heroic ancestors.
