In the second, much expanded edition of The Mysterious Dukhnovych, the well-known journalist and writer Oleksandr Gavrosh offers his own reading of the figure of the priest and educator Oleksandr Dukhnovych (1803-1865), around whom there is still much controversy:
This is the first book about the most famous Transcarpathian of the XIX century, published outside the historical Transcarpathia. It includes excerpts from diaries, letters, autobiographies of the awakener, presented in modern literary language, as well as articles by Alexander Gavrosh, his story about Dukhnovich's childhood "Family Secret" and a play about the last hours of life of the spiritual father of Silver Earth "Beloved friend". The book also contains interviews with the most famous spiritual scholar Olena Rudlovchak, opinions of famous researchers, a poem by Shevchenko laureate Peter Skunets.
