In August 1992, Malkhaz Dzhajanidze, a Georgian young man and five minutes a student, on the threshold of "adult" life in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, went home to Abkhazia to spend his last days with his family. The beginning of the war instantly makes the teenager a prisoner in his native place, separates him from his relatives and forces him to take a daily survival test. Malkhaz and his three friends are together searching for the path to freedom and to their relatives, facing the extreme manifestations of human nature and finding themselves in extreme situations in which they, yesterday's students, can only rely on themselves. Young age helps them to perceive the blows of fate with humor and see the danger of adventure. From the pages of the novel sounds the voice of the young Georgian generation of the 90s, whose lives were overshadowed by the war in Abkhazia, as well as those who were expelled not only from childhood but also from home. Together they answer the question: does the war end with the last shot?
