CLOUDED

The poems contained in this collection were published only in 1991, twenty years after the author's death, although some of them were published in 1968 in a small anthology. They come from a handwritten envelope found in Celan's office at the Higher Normal School, and were written between February and May 1966 at St. Paul's Psychiatric University Clinic. Annie. Thus, chronologically, they fall into the final phase of work on the collection "Fibrous Sun", with which they have many thematic parallels. Two leitmotifs dominate here & ndash; the motive of loss of light and the motive of suffering. According to their figurative system, they belong to the & quot; atonal & quot; Celan's lyrics.
