Living mathematics

The book "Living Mathematics" by the world-famous popularizer of science Ya.I. Perelman wrote one of the last in his series of books on fascinating science. However, after that it was considered by the author as a kind of introduction to these books. Consisting of a large number of diverse puzzles, interesting stories and practical advice that have a mathematical basis, the book opens the curtain on some of the universal methods of reasoning that characterize mathematics as a science. No special training is required to read the book. Solving many puzzles can be done by clever students, even in elementary school, although some of them may be thought of by a well-known scientist. The new translation into Ukrainian eliminates the gaps of the previous ones, in particular, it fully restores the author's content of lifetime editions and more carefully reflects the stylistic features of stable Ukrainian-language constructions.
